ARAVALI supports partner organisation in identifying the geographical outreach of their programming as
well as identifying the poorest and vulnerable process. ARAVALI has designed and tested tools and
process for the same. ARAVALI trains organisational staff to use these tools and process sets. The
process if further guided and facilitated in order to identify real poor and vulnerable families.
ARAVALI also organises review cum peer learning workshops for partner organisations on the targeting
process in order that tat they learn from each other’s experience. Since the process of targeting is
rigorous, ARAVALI provides hand holding support to organisations.
Targeting process is followed by baseline assessment of the families. This is carried out through
intensive engagement with the identified families using Instrument of Engagement. The baseline
assessment process is followed diagnosis of the cause of poverty and designing and delivery of
livelihood support and services.
